We have had such a lovely time - we got back early evening yesterday and have longed to be back ever since. What a wonderful, wonderful place York is. The only negative thing was that unbeknown to us we chose the busiest weekend of the year to visit, due to the St Nicholas Fayre. Apparently it was busier than even the locals have ever known it to be. You could not physically get into some of the smaller shops and even at Cath Kidston there was a queue 7 deep at the tills.
You are not really allowed to take any photographs in Cath Kidston shops, but when I could, I quickly whipped out my huuge black camera. (Conspicuous, moi?)
I really love this chest of drawers and wonder why I haven't thought about sticking wallpaper on furniture.
I bought my new duvet cover and pillowcases, some wine glasses and fabric, a Union Jack pin cushion and 3 large hankies which will probably be cushions. I met a lovely girl who worked there who was most helpful and sweet. Later, when we were back at our hotel and I laid out all my CK purchases on the bed I noticed this tucked inside my bag.
I was so touched by such sweetness. Thank you, Jade if you ever read this. I also had a blog reader spot me and she said hi too. (Hello Fiona!) Tomorrow there are some photos of the Minister and around and about.
