Devon woke to bright blue skies this morning - the first glimpse of sun seen for many days.
On the drive to school the lanes looked like it was a June morning, with no signs of autumn creeping through the hedgerows.
Then before I drove home in the late afternoon I looked more closely and saw the tell tale blackberries and seed heads that confirmed that autumn is indeed on her way.
The sun was low and although the warm sun brought joy to my day it gives me more joy to know that autumn is just around the corner...
