Oh my, I can hardly keep myself sitting still long enough to tell you about this. And why oh why oh why, did I not think of this myself? What is wrong with me? Why, don't I think of these wonderful ideas? I know exactly why. I am not experimental enough - I'm far too 'in-the-box' and not enough, 'what-the-heck-let's-play-with-paint-and-lace.'
Because this, my friends, is just what this lovely heart is. Painted lace. Yes, some lace and some green paint. Simple. The paint stiffens the lace when it dries so you can cut out a shape then hang it. So simple that yesterday I excitedly told my class teacher.
"I know what we can do for Easter!"
She looks interested. I ramble on.
"Yes, we can paint some lace and then cut out egg shapes for the children to take home for decoration. We can paint them lovely sugar almond shades! It's easy. So simple and effective!"
"But where will we get the lace (for 31 children)?" she replies.
"Ah......."
So the hunt for lace is on. I can't imagine that this activity will go down very well with the boys so it probably will be something I will try at home. Just one question. Why hadn't I thought of this myself?
