My second favourite gift this year was from my Mumma, but chosen by me. The most beautiful sparkly bracelet with my all time favourite stone, Aurora Borealis. I stand in the kitchen under the halogen lights waving my hand around and stare transfixed by the eyewatering glints. Oh my. And as I was trying to take this photo with my left hand (no mean feet for some reason!) I thought you might be interested by the orange blur at the top of the picture.
Love him.
But there's another reason I called this post Sparkle. I was going to post this on New Year's Eve but as you know, it, along with many other things didn't get done; but I really wanted to share it with you. Our school Christmas play this year was the Nativity with a twist. It was called Sparkle and it was about a little star wanting to be special. In the end he was chosen to be the Christmas star but before that there were some lines in the play that never failed to give me a lump in my throat how many times I heard it.
When the Maker made the stars, he wanted some to be big, some to be bright and some to be smaller stars. They are all important to Him. Go back to the place where the Maker has put you - shine your best and shine your brightest, even if it is in a very dark corner. Show the Maker that you can shine well, even if your light is small. Shine your light just for Him. Never forget the Maker knows all things. He knows that you want to be important, but He needs to know that he can trust you in little things. Do not let Him down.
Oh that lump is back again...
