Thank you for all your comments on my last post. Mother and Son are doing well but the Mother wishes the Son would contact her more and be a bit more forthcoming but feels no news is good news and fully uunderstands that the excitement (?) of Fresher's Week is far more important! But back to last week. On our visit to Bath there was only one shop I visited, and that, of course was Cath Kidston's new store. It is a large shop on 2 floors and they told me that it was/is ?? going to be the flagship store. So that's good news for me as Bath is only 2 hours on the train as opposed to London which is 3.5 hours.
I did my usual, yearly 'shopping in a Cath Kidston store' thing which entails sweating profusely on entering the shop; mumbling and jibbering, along with my eyes darting from one thing to another in a frenzy; oohing, then on looking at the price - slowly ah-ing and placing said item back on the shelf; then walking very sloowly around looking at everything at least twice, hoping against hope that the lady herself may visit the store and I may throw myself at her feet begging to have a say in her next collection; and finally which is the most embarassing - I get into a conversation with the terrribly nice, young girls who work there telling them how much I love Cath and how my yearly trip to one of her stores is a highlight of my year. They smile sweetly, hand me my few purchases and say 'who's next please?'
Well what I did buy? These lovely flowery badges which I have promptly put on the fridge.
I wonder what Chris would think if he knew he was surrounded by flowers. Probably not cool - I'm sure Gwyneth wouldn't be so sad. I also bought these lovely pillowcases
which look better than I thought they would all thanks to our green bed. And finally these dusters, a metre of her new paisley fabric and the sweetest rosebud wallpaper.
The wallpaper was something I wasn't planning on as it was expensive but I will be using it to cover box files, line drawers, and use as book dust jackets. It's really pretty and I just can't resist a rosebud, especially one as lovely as this. Could you?
And talking of roses I have a wonderful giveaway this week so stay tuned. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
