..my ever growing jewelery collection. It has only been this year - yes truly, that I have started to wear jewelery. I had my ear pierced at 17 or 18 years old and then let them grow over not long after. I was strictly forbidden to have them done before I was 16 as my mother (and her mother before her) disliked to see children in jewelery...and yes, I find I am the same (!!), much to the regret of Alice who would have everything pierced if given half a chance. So 18 months ago I had them re-pierced and slowly started building a small collection.
My jewelery cabinet (ha!) has flourished compared to when I first started to use it back in February and it's all the fault of this..
..Sainsburys. I just can't resist picking up a pair of sparkly earrings with my butter, milk, and Corn Flakes; especially when they have a half price sale, though nothing is very expensive to start with.
I do have one query - how do you all keep your stud earrings? I keep mine on a piece of card but I'm sure that there is a better way.
And perhaps a suggestion at keeping out errant pussycats!
Thank you for all your help with my problem curtains - I have decided not to wash them for the time being. I need to make some ties for them as I want to use them in our bedroom. I just can't quite believe our bedroom will look so 'flea market' with all these lovely textiles that have found their way into our home. I am hoping to update my shop this weekend. Amanda has given me some lovely treasures to sell so I hope to be up and running in the next couple of days.
See you tomorrow.
