Before you ask, no I haven't made this! Shame. It is from this book.
The ISBN number is 1-85585-641-7 though I'm not sure if it is still in print. I cannot even remember (very unlike me) where I found it, but I have had this project in my head for many months now.
What a wonderful way to use up old embroidered tray cloths/tablecloths which might have otherwise seen better days. The patches on this cushion cover are machine zigzagged together by using invisible monofilament thread. Now this is something I've never used in my machine before and I can imagine it must be a nightmare! But what a clever lady Janet is. The rest of the book has other beautiful projects but it is this one that has inspired me most. I do try to use my old embroideries.
This bag I made a while ago. Ahem, don't look too closely at the sewing!
And these are some of my covered Inspiration books. And remember the bunting I made, I've got yards and yards of it and I'm very bad at putting it out! Umm, that's naughty as my machine seized up with the workload of trying to get it ready for the Lucy and Alice's baptism. What a dreadful waste..
(Note to self..have more celebrations...)
