Over the years I have been collecting striped pillowcases from charity shops, and I love them with a passion that is probably not deemed healthy! I have been particularly looking for another lilac one like the top one, as I only have one of those. But can I find anymore? I searched everywhere and even Ebay has not been any help. They don't have a label in them so I don't know who made them, so if anyone out there could tell me I would be grateful and it might narrow down my search.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments about our sittingroom. In answer to some of your questions the wallpaper is from Cath Kidston and is called Rose Bouquet. I do find it hard to leave and long all day to return home and light the fire! No, I'm not a teacher but a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (a government thing to get more teachers without paying a teacher's wage..)which means I can & do officially 'teach' the class for an afternoon a week to allow my colleague time off to plan & prepare etc. I work in the Foundation Stage which has 29 children of 4 & 5 years old. A wonderful job but exhausting & demanding. We have some wonderfully mischievous children at the moment which keeps it interesting and highly amusing...like stuffing paper hand towels down the toilets on a daily basis, not using the toilet but the drain in the floor, 'washing the doors' etc..I seem to spend most of my time in the boys toilets!
My crochet is coming along well. It has finally clicked with me as I had struggled a bit before now trying to teach myself from books. I picked up a copy of this magazine this week and have been drooling over the cover for days.
The lovely crochet blanket from Cath K is simply stunning but the colours are not showing up well in my scanned picture. I want that blanket. Badly. But it costs £160. I wont be getting that blanket, but I could crochet my own! Project #2.. Incidentally, the article with the above blanket was not so good. They just showed more pictures of the same bed in different angles!
Right, where's my hook...
