Amidst all our painting a couple of weeks ago, we found the time to visit my lovely friend Hazel in her new home. She lives perched high on the cliff tops outside Torpoint, Cornwall in a place called Whitsand Bay.
This is the view from the other side of the cliff facing inland and you can see the city of Plymouth in the distance and town of Torpoint and village of Millbrook closer. This actually is the view from most of the windows in her new home and although we didn't stay to see it, I bet it looks even better at night with the lights twinkling.
We have known Hazie for 18 years and she is the warmest, kindest person you could ever meet and I am so glad that she has been so blessed with this wonderful new home. We went for a stroll around Kingsand & Cawsand villages and had an ice cream.
I was admiring some of the lovely houses and think that this is my favourite picture..
though which one would I choose to live in!? Some of the roads were only a couple of metres wide. Don't believe me then look..
Alice is peering in someone's window to report back to me how it is decorated and if I would like it! Terrible aren't I - I just love looking in other peoples' houses! Hence my addiction to house magazines.. Whilst at Hazel's I came across a Christmas present I gave to her 2 years ago. I always make presents for my most dearest friends but never have thought to photograph them before giving them away. I sneaked a quick pic and thought that I would show you as I mentioned it in my last post.
It's not perfect, but it's made with love. We had a lovely day in a lovely part of the country with lovely people.
Now that was perfect!
