Firstly, thank you so much for your kind words re the French Fancy - it's growing on me a bit now. Do you remember this post last June? You do? Well, last week I actually finished sewing my pink doily onto the piece of lilac blanket and another cushion was born. Yeah, it only took a little over a year! And it wasn't the only doily cushion either that I made last week in my sew-a-thon.
I found the purpley one below at Totnes market under a pair of shoes. Most ladies I know would go for the shoes and not the doily but I couldn't resist the lilac lacy floral crochet yumminess.
It was a bit of a nightmare to sew onto the purple fabric and oh my goodness the 'what colour should I put it on decision' was a long and protracted one but I persisted.
And I'm glad I did.
