March Photos ~ Day 13
Wow! 116 comments, I never knew so many people actually read my blog! I am so touched that I went out yesterday and bought 2 more packets (different pattern to the others) so I have 5 packets of flowery cloths to giveaway. I'm so sorry that I can't stretch to 111 more and to all of you who asked, I found them in Sainsburys. Instead of putting names in a hat I decided to ask each of the children (and Anth to pick 2) to pick a number from 1 to 116.
And the winners are...Tatania, Linda Joan, Emma, Jane & Nanette. I will be in email contact with you soon to get your postal addresses. I'm writing this at 11.16pm - it's been a very busy 2 days since getting back from Salisbury (photos to follow soon - wonderful time had by all) and my lateness in posting tonight is all down to the fact that I spent over an hour stringing up fairy lights in our kitchen! Can anyone tell me why, when I have so much to do (gigantic pile of ironing, huge casserole, searching on-line for a fridge-freezer, yes we are still fridge-less) laundry, responding to your comments/emails) I decide I have to string up fairy lights right now for over an hour!? Well if truth be known, it was probably nearer 2 hours. And after all that weaving in and out of the plate racks I'm not sure if they look good. I might let you decide on that one. So here I am at this late hour posting on the blog! Do you like the photo? It's my booty from just one charity shop in Salisbury. They all have a violets theme. I love the word violets don't you? Sweet Violets, Wood Violets and Devon Violets....I nearly called the blog Devon Violets and now can't remember why I didn't. Anyway, my bed is calling..thank you for all your kind wishes and all those 116 comments...116...I just can't believe it!

Well actually, Jane 117 people read your blog, but I felt a bit off outing myself in the hopes of winning a dishcloth - though they are very pretty.
It felt wrong somehow
LOL
I really LOVE your blog.
And honestly, I think the kids are just faking the whole eye rolling bit, I bet they just adore your quirkiness. I do.

As I type this comment, dear, you have 319 subscribers on Bloglines (and that's just to the one feed I subscribe to!) You officially qualify as a Big Dog Blog, in my book.

Congratulations to those who won the sweet cloths! Anyway, I enjoy this blog immensely. I'm sn admitted china junkie with a decided interest in English china brands. Thank you for sharing all your beautiful finds of all sorts.

Hi Jane, nice you are back. I knew you wouldn´t be back until Monday, but there was something I missed, when I sat at the computer without a new post in your blog.
Your new china looks so sweet, congratulations to your found!
Have a nice week,
Sabine

I know exactly why you were busy stringing lights instead! You, like me, and so many others, absolutely love to decorate above all else. We love making our house a home, and it often takes precendence over everything else! {Much to the dismay of our family members.} ;) Good to have you back!
And, btw, I often get sidetracked from unpacking boxes by means of decorating! So, I get that.

Hi Jane, thank goodness your back, i know you were only gone a few day's but every morning the first thing i do when i get up is check to see if there is a new post and then through out the day have to check to see if you left a little blog, i do realise you have a life of your own, but we All love sharing it wth you, it is so interesting and fun, and we do love to know what you and your family are up to. Of course you get alot of people reading your site, it's the first one I go to everyday, no question. Have a great week, to you. And the violets are beautiful, mum used have wild violets growing beside the backdoor when we were kids in New Zealand, that does bring back memories.

Like a lot of other people, your blog is the first one I read every day, and the one I most look forward to. As for fairy lights in the kitchen, well, that can only be an excellent thing! I must admit, one of the reasons I watch Nigella's cookery shows is because she has fairy lights in her kitchen.:-) They just make the world a prettier place, don't they?

Jane,
I think your violet dishes are beautiful. I'm attracted to anything flower-y, particularly china.
I hope you know how much you are appreciated and how much enjoyment your blog brings to us. We are a world-wide community brought together by you!

If you ever had a doubt, I hope the past few days have laid them to rest! Ditto to everything Marisa said. I live for your blog and I do have a LIFE, honestly. I have a tiny kitchen, so I'm thinking fairy lights might be just the thing. I'll be anxious to see yours.

Those violet plates etc really are lovely. I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures of Salisbury - we drove through it on Monday. I always say we should make a point of visiting it but it is about 2 hours into the 3 hour journey to our sons house and we are always eager to get there.

Yet another unspoken fan of your blog. I should comment more often but everyone seems always to have said it all before I get there. I do love your blog and your photos. You make me laugh and inspire me to love what I love and not to worry if someone else thinks it's cool or not--if that makes sense. :-) Thanks!

Thank You for drawing my name. I will treasure my floral dishcloth.
