March Photos ~ Day 5
It's been a very stormy day today here in the UK - particularly here in the South West. Yes, it's been a very grey day, inside and out. Grey skies and grey rain, grey mood (woke feeling poorly) but inside this sort of grey..
..new grey, sparkly shoes, (that were the only pair in the shop and they just happened to be size 3 and only £6!) that go with my new grey skirt (#3.)
I'm still feeling grey, despite the sparkles, but am very excited and inspired by this (her photos are wonderful) and have started my first crochet heart for my own garland for my niece's birthday. Pattern from Belladia. DVD viewing The Waltons. And fingers crossed for a brighter day tomorrow.

Hi Jane!
Hope you're feeling better soon. Your shoes and skirt are beautiful.
Love your new project too - very pretty.
Take care,

Hope you are feeling better Jane, and yeah fingers crossed for better weather tomorrow, very stomny here in yorkshire too.

Hello Jane
Well you inspired me to do the granny square afghan, then the ripple stitch afghan & now I want to make the heart garland :-}
Loved the Waltons! A few months ago my hubby and I saw Richard Thomas (12 angry men) on stage and he was brilliant!
Hope you are feeling better.

Sparkly shoes - how fab! What a treat, obviously meant just for you to brighten a grim old day. Hope the hatches are staying battened down with you. (Beautiful skirt too!)

Aw the shoes are so pretty, and the skirt too! I like the heart garland, it's a lovely idea for a gift. I gave a friend a hot water bottle cover I made out of baby flannel sheets. She had actually given them to me as she knew I collected them. So i made the cover for her, and she absolutely loved it. It's the first thing I've made properly and given so far, everything else I use myself as I am not good enough yet. Someday I'll be making cushions etc like you.

Dear Jane, I hope it cheers you up to know that your package is on the way from the USA. Perhaps the colorful crochet hooks will get used in future projects. I love seeing all of your photos and imagine living in such a terrific place! ~Kathy

Hi Jane, we have had rotten weather here in Co. Wexford, Eire also, although the winds this evening seem the worst, we have gotten off lightley. Love the crochet, i promise myself one thing this summeris that am going to teach myself is to crochet, i got a needle last year so that is a promising sign, but this summer i will be rippling or heart makeing!!! A positive thought - the evenings are that bit brighter, so summer is not far off!!!

Jane,
I love the last photo you posted, the one with the roaring fire, the sparkly shoes and the pink heart. It all looks so warm and inviting.
Thanks for linking to the crochet pattern. I think the heart garland is really sweet.

this will no doubt sound very strange, but i love, love, love the picture of the rainy weather. here in adelaide we are in the middle of a drought - we haven't had rain for months and we've had a record breaking heatwave - it's been over 35C for 14 days (more like 38C - 40C) and it's sticking with us till wednesday when it's cooling down to 31C (that's not cool). how about we go halves in our excess temperature - i'll give you 20C??? and you can give us some of your rain. sounds perfect really.
love what you're making. surround yourself with pretty colours - spring is coming.
